## What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and, if you allow it, understand which pages are useful.
## How we use cookies
Infrastructure Sync uses **essential cookies** to remember your cookie preference and keep basic site functions working. We use **analytics cookies** only if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. Rejecting analytics does not block access to engagements, rates, field notes, or contact forms.
## Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|------|---------|----------|----------|
| infrastructuresync_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject preference for analytics | 1 year | Infrastructure Sync |
| _is_session | Maintains basic session integrity for form continuity | Session | Infrastructure Sync |
| _is_analytics | Measures aggregated page views when consented | 6 months | Infrastructure Sync (first-party analytics) |
## Managing cookies
Use the Accept or Reject buttons on our cookie banner on first visit. Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key `infrastructuresync_cookie_consent`. You can clear site data in your browser to see the banner again. Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies globally.
## Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request can expose your IP to the font provider. We do not load third-party advertising cookies. If we add a third-party analytics tool later, this table will be updated before it runs.
## Impact of disabling
Blocking essential cookies may reset your consent banner preference on each visit. Blocking analytics only means we will not record aggregated visit statistics; all public pages and forms remain available.
